Music Mayhem

I bought three CDs the other week when my best pal, Sara, was in town visiting me.  Honestly, does anyone still buy CDs?  My car has a 6-disc player that has been only filled with three for the longest time, so, on a bit of a whim, I decided to buy three more to fill that sucker up.

Currently in the number 4 slot is Drake's Thank Me Later album.  My current favorite from that CD is Fancy.  If you're ever in ND and see me jamming out to it, do us both a favor and look the other way.  I kind of came late to the Drake party.  My boss loves him and used to play him all the time when we'd close the store.  Last year when I was in the cities and at a club, I remembered hearing a song and thinking about how great it was...only to discover months later that it was Drake.

Spot number 5 is occupied by Lady Antebellum's album, Own the Night.  I have listened to Cold as Stone about 270141028 times since buying the CD.  Love, love, love it.

The final space holds Mumford and Son's album, Sigh No More.  When I heard Timshel for the first time on the CD, I wanted to start crying.  All of their music is so beautiful and reaches me in a strange and wonderful way, but this song really struck me.  I went home after hearing it for the first time and told my parents that if I pass in the next few years, that I'd like it played at my funeral.  A little morbid perhaps, but that's just me.

And I'm also a little disappointed that none of my favorites had a music video.  Remember when you were younger and would sit at the computer and marvel at music videos for hours on end while your mother yelled at you to get off so she could make a phone call?  No?  Just me?

MochiThings

Has anyone heard of/about MochiThings?  I recently stumbled upon this beauty (the Better Together Note Pouch v2) and saw that it is everything I need and want in an organizer.
Better Together Note Pouch v2
But enough of me drooling over this pouch, and on to a little background info on the company.  According to, and by according to I mean stole word-for-word from, their Facebook page, "MochiThings.com is an online store featuring the cutest & functional products we can find all over the world. We are based in Seattle and ships worldwide!"

Now onto a couple more things that I've tossed into the recesses of my mind to wait until payday.

Bottle Pouch
How cute are these Bottle Pouches?

Matryoshka Instax Mini Album
I love that they make all of these things for Instax photos.  My favorite is this Matryoshka Mini Album.

Clear Instax Mini Album Stand
Or if you're a more visual person, here's a Clear Instax Mini Album Stand.

Oxford Scheduler
And the last one that I'll gush about is this Oxford Scheduler.  It's a calendar.  And has a yearly plan.  And a monthly plan.  And a weekly plan!  Does it stop there?  Nope. It has pages for notes, 84 pages to be exact, and a check list area...and to round it all out nicely, their is a place for personal data.  Um...yes, please!

Be sure to head over and see all of the cool things MochiThings has to offer.  And if you're feeling generous, send the Better Together Note Pouch v2 my way!

Blue pants

Today I wore blue pants to work.  I was expecting a little "blue pant magic" because I love them, so I anticipated having a stellar sale day at work.  Unfortunately, my day was not as great as I had hoped it would be, so to turn my frown upside down, I decided to use the "blue pant magic" to take some pictures of myself.  I don't know if that qualifies as using the magic for good, or for evil, but here are the photos for your viewing pleasure.

*It should also be noted that my hair looked fantastic at work, but was thrown up in a pony after all of our guest left and we had to clean up the store.*

I hope that you all had a great Sunday and since it's Labor Day weekend (does that even make sense?), I really hope you are at a lake, floating on a tube, with an ice cold diet coke or other beverage of choice in your hand...though, if you're doing that, I'm not quite sure how you're on the internet...I can only assume you're Bill Gates.  Thanks for checking out my blog, Bill!
